And he gets it no matter what, so I sympathize a little bit less with him or a fired coach, over a regular guy fired from their job.
But it is easy for me to feel a little bad for him.
I thought he should have gotten tonight's game and he could have done well, as it was of a bit of a rocking chair game for Keith, when compared to other games of late, but it's hard to say he definitely would have only allowed one goal, as the most harmless shot that we don't even remember might have beaten him, if he played like he did last game.
I think Hynes probably still has PTSD over the last game he played out in San Jose. The dead angle opener, the 5-hole special that got him yanked and that Pavelski backhander that went off the post are probably still giving Hynes nightmares.
And like I've said before and said in the other thread about Guy. Bad goaltending is gonna get Hynes (coaches in general) fired a lot faster than a poor player (Andy Greene) at one of the skating positions will. Not that I think Hynes would get fired if we missed the playoffs this year, but he probably would have been on probation, with playoffs being mandatory next year or a fairly short leash if we got off to a bad start.
