Depending on what his statline reads at the deadline, he might find himself in the 2015 Havlat or Ryder territory, of not being wanted by any other teams. Parenteau (As of now) was better than him and only brought back a 6th rounder.

Too bad the Sabres aren't in a playoff spot *BleeDD mode in* they do have the chance of making a really strong run to get back in things *BleeDD mode out* or maybe they'd give us a 2nd or 3rd, like the 4th we got from Fiddler's old team when they wanted him back last year. Maybe Winnipeg wants him back?

Honestly though, 3-on-3 is pretty much just a breakdown waiting to happen. We still got a point on the road with a depleted forward group.

That's the important thing.

So let's see if they can get another point tomorrow against Dallas.

Vatanen wasn't good at all tonight lol, -15 shot differential

plus/minus shots stat is even more useless than plus/minus..... he had a decent game and made some good choices with the puck. they got a point with a depleted line up and young team.... ill take it. he's just adjusting so lets give him some time no? i think the last sequence is proof he might even be trying to do too much. he needs to keep it simple.

I thought I saw him starting OT with Bratt and Greene...

He did have a quick shot on goal that actually reached the goaltender instead of going wide so there's that.

To go further, that's also more of a terrific play on Hudon's fault more than a bad play on anyone that was on the ice.

Sometimes even if you do everything right, bad things happen.

Yeah it was a pretty nifty play on his part.

When Bratt tried to do that risky-as-hell dangle through 2 defenders and lost the puck, I immediately cringed and thought "Oh crap. There's game" but fortunately Cory bailed him out there.

3-on-3 is so damn risky. One mistake and it's over.

I guess that's why they have it now : So that games have a higher chance of ending in OT instead of the gimmick.

Devils went scoring chance for scoring chance with them 5-0n-5. Kept the Canadiens to the outside, limited east-west play, and prevented any shots from in close.

The above means more to me than any CF/CA means. I'd take 20 shots attempts the Canadiens took tonight over a cross-ice one timer or a clean cut breakaway.

He was good. He's been a lot more active lately, controlling the game while he's on the ice, and generating chances.

He just needs to get a goal or an assist soon to open the flood gates.

This win a game, and lose two, even if getting a loser point, isn't gonna cut it in this division.

After watching it a few more times I think Coleman saw Zacha and Vatanen and thought they'd win the puck battle and he was looking to go on the attack rather than thinking about covering the late guy. Hudon just made an unexpected play and that's all it took.

Yup.

It was a terrific play by Hudon. He managed to stick handle around Vatanen and get the puck out to the middle. Had he not gotten that initial toe drag, Vatanen would have the puck and Coleman would be shooting up the left side of the ice in a 1-on-1 with the defender.

I saw Dallas play the Isles live in Brooklyn and they destroyed the Isles. I don't have much confidence for Friday sadly. Hope we surprise them!

and control they did. some iffy play in the third but they threw everything but the kitchen sink at them for most of the game. one of those loses you cant really be upset about. good dallas team at home tomorrow. lets do eeetttt
