i never understood prout or the prout love earlier this year. the guy is garbage. just waive him who cares.

I don't think we need to waive him right now, but I'd definitely pull the trigger if we didn't have room on the roster, which we may not have, if not for a few unfortunate injuries as of late.

I still think this was a ''Favor'' trade for us taking Castron from the Blue Jackets, without giving compensation. That was their compensation for it, taking on a contract they didn't want, which ends after this year. This was speculation that someone else made, but it makes sense.

I don't really wanna see Prout at all. Is he better than Lovejoy? Who knows? Both suck, but I think I'm happier with the ghost we know right now, rather than the ghost that we don't know as well right now, which would be Prout.

Prout is not good at anything other than dropping the gloves. Lovejoy looks like a hall of famer compared to Prout. He is at least serviceable on the third pairing while Prout should not be in the NHL under any circumstances.

19th career goal in 284th career game! That's his 62nd career point! AND he's on a two game point streak right now!

I wouldn't be surprised if he had almost as many shootout goals as he does actual in-game goals.

If there was ever a time to give Hynes credit, I think it's mostly the last stretch of games (minus Minnesota), where we actually look much improved and not just cashing in on opportunistic chances and giving up a trillion scoring chances and shots against per game. Even the Winnipeg game had a great 1st period. We won a lot of games early on, that we probably shouldn't have, so it's to be expected that we'd lose a couple of games that we shouldn't have, like Toronto and Boston, to make up for it. And this was the best we've played with a lead in a while. The 3rd period in Chicago was really good, but I thought we played really well tonight while being either tied or in the lead for all of the game.

I don't have any complaints about the game other than the refereeing. Cory was good, D was good, forwards were good, coaches didn't get in their own way.

Lovejoy is pretty deteriorated now, so I wouldn't say he looks like a hall of famer NOW compared to Prout. I don't think he's worse. Prout is kind of a liability too, with the penalties he takes. You're already probably penciling in at least one more minor every other game or maybe 2 extra minors for every 3 games he plays.

I saw Butcher live in Winnipeg. He was so smooth and seemingly always made the right play with the puck. I didn't know he had that type of play in his arsenal. Well, now I know he does.

He’s probably scoring more points than he should, but we should let him play more. See what we got with him.

You can never have too many defensemen like Severson and Butcher. Well, I’m assuming Butcher. It’s hard to say what we have him in him, since he’s been sheltered and used so sparingly. Maybe he gets glued in his end for the entire game if we try him out? Who knows? I don’t think so, but we gotta play him more to find out. Now even because he scores a lot of points, but because he might push play for us.

With how well he plays territorially, he’s still a net positive!

You wanna know what’s really hilarious and pathetic about that player? We picked him in the first round in 2009, and Shero has since added THREE players picked after him in that draft in the first round, who are ALL better than him, two being forwards. Talk about righting wrongs. That’s one of the really ugly wasted first rounders in a decade that had many.

Two of them are unfortunately injured right now. And yes, John Moore is better than Josefson, for all his faults.
