Niemi deserves to play somewhere next year. I LOL every time someone is declared done after a bad stretch (5 games for Niemi) or season (Eric Staal). It's like no one has heard of a slump.

As pissed as I am at Niemi for all his wins, I have to say I am also happy for him. Guy is playing for his career and this late season performance has probably earned him a contract somewhere if not here.

That being said, we now leapfrog the idle Wings and sit in the 6th lottery spot as of this moment.

Whatever. It's a lottery. We might end up 5th, but then the 6th spot wins #1...

2 fights. Some big hits. They battled. Niemi was excellent.

Scherbak's goal was sweet.

Shaw is out for the season & maybe should re-consider his health & career at this point. He was out after that hit on Pateryn.

Reminded me of the Primeau hit on Perezhogin. Primeau got the worst of it despite being 4 inches taller. He had a history of concussions though.

Exactly what did he do wrong aside from committing to another team after Bergevin refused to make him an acceptable offer?

That's the problems with a part of our fanbase...you blame the players instead of the GM (the source of the problem) that created this mess.

This was the last game of Andrew Shaw this year.....and maybe it was his last game.
How many concussions a player can get?

He already slowed down a lot on his physical game in the last year. That hit wasn't even to the head and he was out.
This doesn't look good at all. Health has to come first at some point.
