But a forward who is drafted 8th overall,...gets judged, always, by his goals and points
and not how he plays, or how much team points he brings. etc. etc.
- and his point production so far as a pro...not good and its not like he hasn't gotten a shot already in the top 6,
even if has mostly played limited minutes
What type of player he is?, in the NHL, if he ever plays there that is. - that is the question -
Is he a low scoring defensive forward?
Mid range scoring grinder / two way forward?
At this point, difficult to see him as a top 6, goal & point scoring forward in the NHL.
Because, he needs to improve so much to be that, the biggest concern is his hockey IQ, the lack of it
and his super weak shot. Sure, he is a great skater, has a strong, bull like drive forwards,
is good at his own end, so for his own end at least, he possess plenty of hockey IQ, its the o-zone thou...
Hey anything can happen in 2-3 years, the time when he is probably gonna enter the NHL,
lets wait and see. At the moment however, the hype is bonkers and Canucks and other fans thinks
he would already be that in the NHL, what ever he might project to be in the future.
