It's questionable the fact of Cherepanov...i think he'd deserve to play, well i think everyone thinks he deserves to play in sweden, but he should not be overly pressured right now imho
On a recent Oilers sportsnet broadcast they listed 4 EDM prospects as playing in the tournament:
Cogliano (CAN)
Chorney (USA)
Pettersson (SWE)
Bumagin (RUS)
so I was under the impression Bumagin has already made the team, and Trukhno has not.
Canadian roster was named yet and to say that Cogliano already in roster is a lie. The same with Russian roster. Last cuts will be made after friendly game againt HC Khimik, AFAIK.
Voinov?

Why is Popov not included. Do you have any info? His #s look good in Traktor (team that is not going anywhere).Naturally, North American based prospects such as Vishnevsky and Trukhno cannot possibly participate in training camp. The absence of several players such as Lange, Zhelobnyuk, and Zharkov is surprisings. Popov not being included is a head scratcher.
Yep, Sergei's son.
Is he any good? How come I haven't heard about him before?
Igor Velichkin - Metallurg Mg.
I don't know much more than that he was drafted by Chicago in '06 (a second round pick, 33rd overall).
The young forward possesses a great combination of speed, versatility and energy, but he does lack size and not making the 86 born U20 squad in his draft year also did not bode well for him, even though it was a year too early for him. Still, Makarov impressed at the 2005 U18 WJC and at the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge.
Any relation to the GM of Magnitogorsk?
Bodrov. I saw his name popup in this thread and so is he not on the team for a reason, ie he sucks, or just no room. Is he a surprise to not be even in camp, like what it sounds like for Popov?
Bondrov is too old, he's an '86.
