The way Chiarelli answered the question about if he feels confident he will be able to make a significant change on our blue line was very telling. He is a man who keeps quiet with the deals he's making but it seemed like he was trying hard not to smile when responding. I have a feeling he has at least one trade all but confirmed with a playoff team (New York Islanders or Anaheim, or both) and possibly had a lot of talks with teams like Montreal and St. Louis about their players. The way he answered the question and his comments about laying down the groundwork for deals come summertime was very good to hear. We are going to see 2-3 new defenceman, all of whom I think will be better than anyone we have currently. Still can't believe Chia picked up Talbot, Maroon, Gryba, and Kassian for peanuts.
