I hope they uphold the suspension. I am pro player safety, I think these kinds of incidents should be penalized more harshly not less. Sorry.

That's a different discussion though. If you want to multiply all suspensions by two starting next year, or whatever it is, ok, but in the meantime the Leafs can't be operating in their own more severe system of adjudication.

I love Rielly and it was really nice to see someone on this team be visibly mad that we lost a game... and this is the right decision. I know he's a first timer, but he hit a guy above the shoulders with his stick long after scoring a goal in a game that was over. He earned at least five games for that and we've gotten (at least) four wins while he's out.

Honestly, that's kind of a win-win. We showed emotion, we would've taken serious flak for not doing a thing, and we stepped up big time in his absence. I wonder if somehow this galvanized us (cue the six game slide).
