IMO Eriksson Ek was the best comp I have heard for him among current players. Stylistically I think those guys play the same way.Reading here various opinions, am I right that a nice comparison to Kasper might be Ryan Kesler?

Kasper is having a better +1 season though, and I think is a better skater/passer. So hopefully he can be a better version of Eriksson Ek, and I like Eriksson Ek a lot personally.
This means Buchelnikov = Kaprizov, right?
I like the comparison, Eriksson Ek is a horse not sure if Kasper will get that bigIMO Eriksson Ek was the best comp I have heard for him among current players. Stylistically I think those guys play the same way.

Yeah he will probably get bigger hopefully he keeps his speed

Eriksson Ek is not a pure defensive player, look at the season he’s having.I'm a big Eriksson-Ekk fan but I'm not sure if that's the most apt because Kasper's skating is much better. Eriksson-Ekk reminds me of the defensive centers from before the 2005 lockout in a lot of ways. He is very much a throw back to the John Madden, Michael Peca and Guy Charbonneau types that would shadow the opposition. Danault is another guy I'd put in that rare category of throwback defensive 2/3Cs.
Where Kasper differs in a very positive way is from his combination of skating and puck protection. He will rag the puck in the defensive zone to break up a cycle or force the other team to make a line change before moving it up, where I've seen Danault look to chip it out or clear the zone as quickly as possible. Kasper is able to maintain possession under pressure (at least at the SHL level) fairly effectively. It's something that this team hasn't seen from a center since Zetterberg was in his prime or Datsyuk was still on the roster. Even Larkin doesn't do this very often.
Kasper is one of those horses that other horses couldn't keep upI like the comparison, Eriksson Ek is a horse not sure if Kasper will get that big

I think they play the same from a positioning perspective, and a 200 ft perspective. I also think both of them are very heavy on the puck.
No comp is perfect, but he is the NHL player I think Kasper plays the most similar to.
Its not a horrible comparison and JEE has definitely started to come into his own the last 2 years but Kasper skates a lot better and plays meaner. I might like the comparison to Larkin more than Eriksson EkIMO Eriksson Ek was the best comp I have heard for him among current players. Stylistically I think those guys play the same way.

Disappointing season, I do have to give note that Rogle had A LOT of close games, losing by just 1 goal. Personally the goalies weren't the best. Expected Clang to carry the team more.SHL regular season is over
Rogle finished 9th out of 14
They will play a best of 3 series vs. #8 Leksands (Anton Johansson)... If they win that series they advance to the Main SHL Playoffs and play a best of 7 series in the Quarterfinals.
Game 1 of the 3 starts Saturday at 9:15.
This boy is ready to play with Zadina on his wing.
Pretty sure Willy Wally is the runaway best skater out of the whole prospect pool. Maybe even on Detroit.
Dissapoint season, I do have to give note that Rogle had A LOT of close games, losing by just 1 goal. Personally the goalies weren't the best. Expected Clang to carry the team more.
I don't Kasper will play in the AHL next season
It is not even close, Wallinder is electrifying. Insane upside, there is still top 2D potential for him.
If Rogle loses the best of three, what is the chance that one or both head over for a few games this spring in GR?
Just when we were talking about adding "heavy types" in the roster, Kasper finished 3rd(72 min) in PIMs and he is going to get even heavier. Come on down center version of Matt Tkachuk!
