Although that PP also contained guys like Nylander, Kapanen, Leipsic, and the list goes on... It may seem stupid to complain about a top 10 PP, but when you have the best PP talent in the league, you'd hope you would at least be one of the top 2 both seasons.
And my mistake on the PP thing, but I do know he had troubles on the break outs and entries in 5v5. I assumed they transferred to PP as well.
I guess I just expect more out of a guy who has that much talent. Seemed like he always tries to force things when if he just thinks thing through a bit, he could have been a lot more successful. Just comparing the skill of his teams to how well he's done, I think it's been a disappointment. Nothing worth firing over, but eventually you need to see these young guys make strong progression on these mistakes, and to see at least a legitimate run to the Calder Cup. Winning it is not as important as seeing the young guys develop into good Leafs/assets the Leafs can use, but when you lose due to things that they should be fixing in order to become these hockey players, that is when it's frustrating.
Marlies could do a lot worse, but I do not think the skill of the coach matches the skill of the team yet, and Keefe still has a lot to learn before he's ready to take over the NHL reins. The good news is that he has like almost 6 more years to learn (assuming he doesn't try to jump ship early) and he has made some progression since he's come here, so you'd hope he becomes a pretty damn good coach by the time he's coaching the Leafs.
