Ahead of Welch...I dont think so. Let them develop first then you can rank them. Right now I'd say maybe one has better potential than him but the rest are either on par (I see Welch as a No. 4) or behind him in potential. Dont short change Noah just because he wasnt picked in the first round (well neither was Koltsov but hes in a hype machine).

Let me just say tho I agree he picked him early as there are better prospects (forwards) on the board but if he is drafting by position then its a solid choice. I just wish he woulda picked Noah before he took Stewart

I was banking on Welch being stupendously underrated, and I guess I was almost right. I figured that some would underrate him, but some wouldn't.

I am drafting by position, at least with that pick. I already have a glut of forwards, and I wanted to get one of the least talked about defensemen who will turn out very good.
