Liverpool badly need another midfielder that they can call on to close these games out. They don’t have that player anymore.

This is going to look like the end of the Brentford game where Palace is overloading and LFC have no idea what do with it.

Wow that was a dreadful offside call. They normally let them play in situations like that and call it back after if it's off.

Checking VAR for PK. Similar to the City/Wolves scenario a couple of weeks ago. Don’t love the call. Fabinho to take it, because Milner didn’t get subbed on in time. Blessing in disguise as LFC make it 3-1 against the run of play

Harsh. You can see Jota take an unnecessary step toward Guaita to try and win the decision
Yes, Jota collided with Guaita as much as Guaita collided with Jota.

That it takes them 5 minutes of review to send the referee over to the monitor to review it means they should have just stuck with the on-field decision. It's either a clear and obvious error or it's not, it shouldn't take this long.

Harsh. You can see Jota take an unnecessary step toward Guaita to try and win the decision. Ball goes left, he goes right.

When he miscontrols it and sees it going out for a goal kick you actually see his eyes switch to the goalie, then he slows down and leans right to make sure they collide. Ridiculous pen.

And as others have said, if it takes 5 minutes to decide, its not clear and obvious.

Brighton and Arsenal both lacked a finishing touch and because of that will end up dropping 2 points.

Arteta wanting control and rigid structure is our main problem. People think that playing positionally with strict organisation that minimizes variables is the best way to be sucessfull but it isn’t. Prioritizing control over chaos too much is detrimental to a football team.
