Thanks for the reply.
What available managers would be a good fit for this job?

It's a tough one, there's no obvious standout candidate.

Zidane is available, but would he want it? Rumours that he's waiting for the France job next year. No-ones quite sure how much English he speaks. Big difference between the midfield he had at RM and the one he'd have at Utd.

Ten Haag is the hipster choice, but its a massive step up from Ajax to Man Utd, and it sounds like he won't be available till next summer.

Potter is another hipster choice, but not a lot of experience and a massive step up from Brighton.

Rodgers is another one often mentioned, had a lot of success in a one team league, and won the FA Cup with Leicester, but bottled getting in the UCL two seasons in a row. Also managed Liverpool which means the fans will turn on him in a heartbeat.

Lots of stories over the years that the board like Poch but he's just failed to win a one team league with all of PSG's riches, but he might be available in the summer if he fails to win the UCL.

Hell, Tuchel will be available in the summer if Chelsea don't win the EPL.

However comes in needs to be able to

1) Raise the morale of what is clearly a broken group of players
2) Give the team some organisation and structure
3) Find a way to get a tune out of a midfield that contains Fred, McTomminay, Matic and an inconsistent, oft-injured, soon to be gone Pogba.
4) Do something about the imbalanced squad (too many forwards, not enough midfielders, no real DM).

Going from Ajax to United is actually a massive step down in terms of club structure, organizational know-how and squad cohesion.

Of all those names mentioned, who actually would want the job?

I think Rodgers will. His ego is about right to want it, and while I think Leicester is more his speed, and frankly, a pretty good team, he might worry about over staying his welcome.

I don’t think Potter would want it at this point. But maybe.

Oh there's no question that Ajax are a better run club than Utd. But in terms of pressure and expectation they are light years apart. Ajax are a big fish in a small pond, and the plucky underdogs whenever they in the UCL. So many players when they join Utd talk about having to get used to every game being the oppositions biggest game of the season.

Anyway, I think they're going to wait for Poch in the summer. The Glazers will want what he did at Spurs - get champions league football with limited expenditure, and no fuss or complaints. No idea who the interim interim manager will be

Everton are well on their way to another one of those seasons where four weeks in everyone is pegging them for the top-4 and then they finish 11th.

I've not seen anyone mention his name, in fact he never gets mentioned for any of the big jobs in England. Seems like such a perfect fit for him at Athletico tbh.

Everton do not know how to clear the ball at all.
City with two great goals, but both off of absolutely terrible clearances from the Ev
