Not a strong group. Personally I'd drop Lauzon down due to injuries. I think we'd do well to get 3 players who make 200 NHL games out of that list.

We do have a better system now , getting the most out of these prospects than in the past. Who wouldve thought Rust would be this good? Got production from guys like Wilson, Archibald, Kuhn the last few years in the playoffs. Simon. Etc.

Need to sign another college FA equivilent to ZAR. For the D.

Brickley was mentioned. When do rumors start surfacing about which teams are in on certain players?

Probably once his team's out. Think his team's ranked #3.

Yes, I'm really high on Bellerive.

Lauzon is way too high imo. He'd be lucky to be 15th on the list.

Yes, I'm really high on Bellerive.

Lauzon should be lower and Angelo should be on it. Dipauli and Bengtsson should probably be at least over someone like Hall.

I really liked Lauzon in the rookie tournament.

He’s a player where the skill set looks good but the juniors production isn’t there and he just missed most of the season.

Angello can't even make the list. You gotta be kidding me.

Yes, I'm really high on Bellerive.

Lauzon's rating has to be based on his draft position, because there's absolutely nothing about how his season went that suggests he should be the 3rd best prospect. I mean, if he is, then we've basically got 2 good prospects and then 18 pieces of crap.

My current top 20 would be

Sprong
ZAR
Bellerive
Johnson
Pedan
Almari
Blueger
Olund
Bengtsson
Phillips
Di Pauli
Lafferty
Angello
Miletic
Drozg
Bjorkqvist
Lauzon
D'Orio
Reilly
Pavlychev

Bias towards those further along in their development. I think in time I'll look silly for having Phillips so high or so low, seems very boom or bust.

I'd also expect an NHL deal for haggerty and be unsurprised by ones for Quinney and Gardiner, all of whom might arguably crack the top 20.

People have a certain skepticism about numbers posted as an overager in junior leagues.

I really liked Lauzon in the tourney. Abysmal season though.

I don't recall Miletic standing out for being slow?

When do we sign Blaine Byron? :sarcasm:

Are you thinking of the right player? Miletic isn't big, and he's not particularly slow.

Granted, I don't necessarily disagree that he's a long shot to be an NHLer. I'm just not sure your description of him matches what he is.

Maybe im confusing him with someone else? I only saw him in the prospect games and he looked slow. #80

Ya that was his number in the prospects game. I thought he was like 6'3... so weird.

He didn't look slow to me though. Middle range skater, a lot smoother than Kuhn for sure.

Miletic is listed at either 6'0 or 6'1 depending on the source and that seems pretty accurate based on what I've seen of him. Whether that's big or not is a matter of opinion, but he's certainly not small.

For me, when I hear someone describe a player as "big" I usually think they mean in the 6'3+ range. For an NHL player, 6'0 or 6'1 isn't small, but I also wouldn't immediately describe that player as big.

For instance, with our prospects on defense I'd never describe Lauzon as a "big defenseman" at 6'0 or 6'1. Connor Hall, on the other hand, I'd expect someone to mention how big he is at 6'4.
