What's Pilut's waiver status if he signs? It would seem he's very close to eligibility.

He counted as being 23 for purposes of his first NHL contract and that was four years ago. Sounds like he'd be waiver eligible using this source:

Not that I see him as a game changer, but Botts botched the relationship with Pilut. I seem to recall it was right before he got fired.

Also waiting for him to arrive in the States. He's in Ottawa and being held there for a few days. Probably won't make it to Buffalo in time for camp, but very shortly thereafter.

Are you talking about dev camp? He turns 27 in December, so I doubt that is anything he'd be a part of.

I think Adams was just using the dev camp as a point of reference for how soon Pilut is expected to be in the States.

Pretty sure he was. I only read tweets of it but he talked about how Kisakov was having immigration issues but made it to Canada (obviously) and was now hanging out in Ottawa

Maybe? Couldn't hear the questions from the press......but someone being in Ottawa and waiting to come into the US was directly in-line with a response about KHL paperwork needing to be cleared or finalized or some such.

The Pilut stuff is at the 14:00 minute mark of today's press conference. The stuff about Ottawa is Kisakov, not Pilut. They are waiting on paperwork/proof to be properly filed. It's clerical right now from the sound of it. It will get done.
