Seeler is nothing more than a 3rd pairing guy and the Flyers know it, but sadly if the cap goes up to 87M, this is going to be very standard UFA 3rd pairing guy money on multi-year deals.

Seems like Torts likes him.

Unf***ingreal, this block fest mother f***er gets a NTC + 2 signing bonuses.

Sick. Absolutely sick.
NTC is bad, but 2 signing bonuses don't really matter/affect the AAV when they occur during the NTC period.

2.7 is probably market value.
but 4 years is bad
so is the NTC.
2.9x2 would have been a better deal
For the Flyers, certainly, but I don't think Seeler would have signed that, he could probably do better in UFA. The Flyers absolutely are overpaying in term here (the NTC would annoy me a lot more if it was for more than the first two years, when we probably wouldn't have planned to trade him anyway), but by the end of this deal, we can send him to Allentown and it won't make a huge difference, unless the cap craters somehow in the next few years.

This is a fair deal, if he can continue his play this works for both sides... if not he can be moved or waived, the cap will be rising in upcoming years. Some of you will never be satisfied, no matter what.

Hell of a deal for him, congrats to Nick! Knew him before he could even tie his own skates, incredible family, and very dedicated and workmanlike. Definitely a Torts match, but there is a reason that he’s in the NHL while never even being a top pair guy on his HS team, he does all of the little things that make for a great teammate. For a guy that lays his body on the line every night for his teammates, a little extra hazard pay isn’t a bad thing.

This franchise will never change one BIT! Seeler will be the next development coach/ phantom coach. They will use him to mentor the young dman coming up. He will be the new everybodies darling.

he will underperform as hell and they will protect him every f***ing second! The praise of D´angelo, Fisto or Amac will be the least annoying thing we have witnessed from now on!

Buckle up Flyers fans!

Good for Seeler. Given up on numerous times, just kept kicking, and finally cashes in. Maybe it ends up an anchor, maybe it doesn’t, but it’s hard to say he’s not worth those dollars right now.

Good for Seels. Hard working guy to set an example if you have a bunch of slackers on the team i guess. Feisty and protective of teammates.
