My favorite that shift. Malkin wheels back to support the breakoput. Letang ignores him, skates it two steps out of the defensive zone and throws some soft pass off the boards in the vicinity of Phil . . . but closer to two Leafs players.

It's not just IN HIS OWN ZONE. Letang is a train wreck on the breakout and in transition.

DeSmith is real sketchy on pucks around the net. He follows second chances way out of his crease and his puck handling is pretty bad.

Kessel with a super lazy change a few plays back too. We needed to break the puck out and he skated off instead of supporting. The puck went the other way because it was 1 on 3.

Two years ago Pens had a team that was full of Sully guys WB call ups. Last year it seemed more struggled with that system and injuries took a toll. This year seems Pens have even less players who can play Sully's system. I think Pens simply are not going to expend the intensity the 200 foot game Sully wants. But come March maybe things will change.
