Nico was absolutely phenomenal defensively tonight.

What's particularly amazing about his defensive work, is that that's typically the LAST thing a 19 year old player learns.

He's going to be a solid two-way player in this league for a while, and it's so fitting he's a New Jersey Devil as its' the NHL club that prides itself on forwards playing responsible defense.

I can't help but wonder when defensive schemes catch up to Barzal if he's going to be as effective as he has been much of this year.

I just came to say, I’m really starting to loathe this team, just really starting to hate it with all these losing streaks, getting smoked in the season series against teams like Columbus and the Islanders, not being able to score against guys like Stalock, Halak and Flames scrub from a few weeks ago. Not being able to lose just one game or two games in a row. It has to be 3, 4, 5, 6 losses in a row the last two months. Really tired of all the soft goals and poor goaltending, which hasn’t been a problem tonight.

I’m really annoyed with this team, I’m really starting to hate this current team. I’m sick of it, this is close to my breaking point of not giving a **** if they miss the playoffs or not. When you can’t lose a game without losing multiple games in a row, it’s deserved to miss. When you give away so many points to these teams that you need to beat, it’s deserved. When you get shut out by Halak and the piece of **** Islanders, it’s well deserved.

If he was here I don’t think he would have had a bigger impact than Nico. Flyers are already a good team with him. Devils would prob be floating towards the Hurricanes territory without Hischier
