People saying the same thing about the Devils right now too..
Unfortunately they are saying we are the most likely

I have to ask what is with this defense of the offsides calls?
We got hosed pretty good during the regular season on offsides calls that took points away from the Devils.
Many here aren't too enamored(to be kind) with offsides reviews and all that.
You are probably the only one who doesn't really mind Toronto determining a Playoff game.
And I don't like it that they can do it, Period. Whether it's in regulation or OT.
And Football is Football. I could care less what THEY do.
I only care what is happening in Hockey.
Agreed 100000%.
The NHL offsides review may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen in all of sports. Taking goals (and sometimes wins) off the board because they spend 5 minutes scrutinizin video at 1/32 speed and 8x zoom to determine that someone's toe was a hair's length over the blueline before the puck. The spirit of the offsides rule is to prevent cherry picking and teams getting too easy of an advantage on offense. I think it's safe to say that someone's skate beating the puck into the zone by 1/16 of an inch provides zero distinguishable advantage to the scoring team.
The NHL loves talking about "the spirit" of the CBA when it comes to randomly punishing a team for cap circumvention, but they take a huge steaming pile of crap on the spirit of the game reviewing offsides in this manner. I'd say it's really disgraceful, but may that's just my opinion.
As great as he is (and as much as I loath him I absolutely think he belongs with Gretzky, Mario, Howe and Orr when discussing the greatest players ever) if you don't see that there is one set of rules for Crosby and another for the rest of the league I don't know what to say. I still remember the game 6 at Nassau in 2013 where in OT he should've been penalized for a ridiculous dive but the Isles got the penalty instead and the Pens won the game and the series.Dude with all due respect this comes across as petty. There's no league wide agreed upon conspiracy to gift the Penguins the cup. Hell they only had one in Sid's first 8 years before they won these last two. There's plenty to dislike about that team without going full blown tin foil hat. You make it sound like they are just some middling team that mysteriously wins, as opposed to a team that has two of the greatest centers to ever play, and a boat load of other elite / top 6 forwards.
Unfortunately they are saying we are the most likely
Getting breaks on calls from different refs because you're the darling superstar of the league is not akin to a league wide conspiracy to ensure the team he plays for wins the cup.As great as he is (and as much as I loath him I absolutely think he belongs with Gretzky, Mario, Howe and Orr when discussing the greatest players ever) if you don't see that there is one set of rules for Crosby and another for the rest of the league I don't know what to say. i'm going to assume your another person that "doesnt watch football"? they seem to be fine with a hair out of bounds and spending mins getting the call right?
also the caps review last night was about a min long so not sure the "horror" in taking a min to get the call right?
i'm not defending the offsides either. i dont like it but guess what its part of the game! so until its out of the nhl deal with it and might as well get the call right
The Out of bounds rule in football exists in a completely different context than the offside rule in hockey. The blue line is not a boundary. Its purpose it to deter cherry picking and unfair advantages in the o zone. It was never intended to be scrutinized down to a fraction of an inch, because that slim of a margin provides no discernable advantage to the scoring team. There's no comparison there to out of bounds in football sorry. And even if there is, that doesn't make the offside review any less mind numbingly stupid.

He's still in North America and back in the Preds organization? Good god.In other news.
Nashville just recalled their secret weapon...
Anders Lindback!
So naturally I'm tagging @Bleedred so I get only the finest Blimpback chirps.
It's rare that a backup goalie makes an impact in the game.
Didn’t seem to help Carlyle when he had last change at home over the weekend.@Bleedred You think maybe there is something to "having the last change" playing a major role in a team's chances at winning?
(yeah it didn't help the Crapitals but it's the Crapitals)
BTW, Anaheim is done. Poor Rico.
Do the Kings get swept tonight?
