Clakre was easily the best player left among the weak teams, although honestly Philly isn't that weak.

Philly has depth, but Clarke is the only guy they have who in a normal draft is a top 50-70 guy.

Keeps options open and is fairly easy to build around

There was a million places for me to go there, but I just don't like St. Louis as a franchise in this and after the big 3 there's a huge drop off for NYI, so now I'm sitting there after the third round with me having not burned any strong franchises with a solid foundation.

For a second I thought you had Orr (I associate him with 1st overall), really liked the Orr-Trottier combo. But you have Gretzky and I like it too, kindda recreating what he had going with Messier in Edmonton.

Decided to go with a tad bit more offense.

Probably still Bossy. I wouldn't have wanted to take both Cook and Lidstrom. Burned my O6 franchises a little too early last year.
