We can all hate some of the contracts, but I can't help but feeling like the team got tougher to play against without dumping much skill.

Still lots of time to try and swing a deal for a goalie.

Samorukov is going to steal that spot by the end of the year. He’ll need a month or two in the AHL just to get back to speed after his surgery but he’ll make an impact this year imo. He had a really good year in Russia last year.

The team is better today than at the start of last year. Losing Larsson is a huge kick in the nads, if he was on that second pairing we would be looking really good to start next year. Get Koskinen the hell out. I can deal with a subpar 3C but the goalie situation needs to be at the absolute top of the list.

I like Larsson, but I will take Keith and Ceci over Larsson and Bear any day and twice on Friday. At forward, Neil out, Hyman in. One overpaid forward, for another overpaid forward who's 5 years younger. This contract will bite the OIlers in the ass, but not next season. Foegele seems like a good bottom six forward with upside. Not sure McLeod and Benson will make the team.

People here don't realize just how good Samorukov is defensively. He is a wall.

a few months in the NHL and he will instantly be a 3rd pairing shutdown guy.

Actually, they added a top 9 forward too. It's more like Keith, Ceci, Foegele for Jones, Larsson, Bear.

I guess so, for values sake, but for roster being improved sakes, He needs to still be factored in and not ignored.

My comment was strictly modifications to our defense.

Our right side is set to be looted and pillaged regularly. Our left side not much better. Our forwards got better but our defense got a lot worse. Imo.

I realize that--but until he is put on the LTIR we can not count that money. I have Foegle and Yams coming in at about a combined 5 mil so that eats up about 2.5 of Klefbom LTIR right there
