It does, sometimes the right thing is the hardest thing to do. A lesson I only recently learned myself.
You don't want it. Or at least seriously research what has happened to the housing markets and the correalating homeless populations in WA and OR where Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Intel already came in before deciding. The numbers are real. There will be a very heavy price paid by your poor and working class families. The day will come when you will be walking and driving by them, as they are sleeping, eating, doing homework, and just living, right on your sidewalk. It's real, it's not propaganda. I walk and drive by them every single day. It's heartbreaking. Regular people just like you and me. All was fine one day, then their rents skyrocketed and they could no longer afford their home or any other. These companies have to come up with a better way of introducing themselves into the communities they are going into. Or in the alternative, the cities/towns need to pre-emptively set strict landlord/tenant laws with regards to how much they are allowed to increase their rents by and what kind of notice they have to give. Here they only have to give 10 days notice. If your rent just jumped $500 from last month and you don't have another paycheck before rents due, you're screwed and there's nothing you can do. That's how it starts.

I worked there during my senior year of college and hands down is the worst place I've ever worked.
Pink is in this year
They told me I would be fired if I went on my already scheduled trip to Europe (that they knew about!). I ate a serious amount of cash and was lucky to get 75% of my money back because I was so desperate to have a job before graduating college.
I left a few months later with a number of other new grads because the management was so bad.
The turnover there was astronomical. Great tours, lousy place to work.

Well I wouldn't go that far, just wanted to watch the game and have a few beers. Found a new one that was rather tasty...until I figured out it was $8 a glass LOL
