I didn't love the first episode, but glad I've stuck with it.

Love seasons 3-5. I typically like the seasons that have an overall theme.

I was in tears when Mary shot Larry down and then he sees her with his doppelgänger.

that was hilarious

I think the first episode was a bit choppy but I anticipated that after a 5 year absence, seemed like they tried to reintroduce all the characters again and it took away a bit from the episode but still funny

On another note, will I get roasted here for being someone who has seen only the first Star Wars? It was just never my thing

The best part of the first episode was the very beginning with Larry trying to open the shampoo.
I've rewatched it several times.

Shades of him taking a baseball bat to the smoke detector.

I could so identify. I bought the pooch a new leash the other day, my gawd, you`d think it contained a lethal substance that they didn`t want kids to have access to it was that difficult to open the packaging

RIP Gord Downey, a Canadian treasure

http://www.thehip.com/news/statement/

what a few weeks, Tom Petty now Gord Downey

Got to see the Hip a dozen times, first 4-5 times was in Kingston in front of about 20 people at local bars as my buddy was attending Queens and we`d take roadies up to party with him and we got to see the boys at their earliest. The Hip were alot like the TPATH, genuine guys who loved their fans

Very sad news indeed. Gord was a huge Bruins fan, I believe Harry Sinden was his godfather.

He is/was indeed. For those in the USA, did the Hip ever make it in their popularity there? Years ago we went up to a buddies parents` cottages in Burlington Vermont and while there we got to see them play at a small, mostly empty bar and meanwhile back in Canada, about a month prior, I watched them pack the Civic Center with 9000 fans

I saw the first star was when I was 6 I think.
Ive never seen the other ones. I dont watch much TV. My attention span is horrible.

Over the past 10 years Ive pretty much been able to stick to watching hockey, Cub your enthusiasm, westworld , stranger things and jackass reruns.

Be willing to bet the trailer is part of of the trailers before Episode VIII.

As for the movie itself, it'll probably be decent at best. That's a role that just should never have been re-cast. Harrison Ford is that character (Much like Indiana Jones), and no actor will ever be able to play it like he did. And the era ABSOLUTELY plays a part in it for better or worse.

Kenobi is a different story because even though Alec Guinness is ObiWan, Ewan McGregor did a fine job for what he had to work with.

I agree, a Kenobi movie between 3 and 4 with Mcgregor would be awesome.

I’m still waiting for them to announce a KOTOR movie, that was one of my favorite games growing up and would make for a good saga. If they’re putting out a young Jabba movie in 5 years, I’ll be worried.

I woke up and my house was 57 degrees. Best night's sleep I have ever had.

I like it cold when I'm sleeping as well. Unfortunately, the wife and kids don't, so the heat gets turned on earlier than I would like. At least it's just our pellet stove and not the heat for the entire house.

Speaking of that, just got two tons of pellets delivered yesterday!

The Quiet Corner
Swapping out the two fuel tanks in the basement of the apartment/office building this week. The tanks are 45 years old and I'm replacing them with one 330 gallon tank. My oil company wanted $ 3000. so I asked my plumber (who is also licensed for heating) to give me a price and his quote came back $ 1000 less. It always pays to check.

The last 5-6 years I haven't had the money to keep up on maintenance and now a lot of things are needing to be done at once. A month ago I spent $ 2800 replacing the chimney on my place, two weeks ago it was $ 500 to remove & fill in the old septic tank and this week $ 300. on new lighting in the front part of the office. Next is replacing the ceiling in the front office, that's another $1000. Next spring I need to replace the front roof & gutters and hopefully next summer I can replace the fire escapes. Thank God I finally have the apartments rented to tenants who actually pay their rent!

If anyone here watches jeopardy and can explain the idiotic betting of the Naval Aviator that's been on the last few days, I'm all ears. He was rewarded for his idiocy on Tuesday, but finally lost last night because of it. The math really wasn't that hard......I can only assume he was trying to lose on purpose.

He's no Austin.

The game the other night where he won with $1 was the most remarkable thing I've seen on Jeopardy.

Only situation I can think of in the world of competitive anything where 2nd and 3rd place can take home 2,000 and 1,000 times more winnings than the actual winner.

Hey you. It's on Main St in Topsfield. Thursdays at 7pm. I just do a meditation/contemplation class...no yoga in this class--but I am covering yoga ethics this time (yamas and niyamas) It's mostly creating space for yourself to be still.

Stop on by any Thurs.

and currently it's by donation....

The audible gasp in the audience when his wager was shown after his incorrect guess last night was awesome.

My favorite part of the Wheel/Jeopardy hour last night was the Harvard grad student who tried to buy a U on this clue.

Meditation and being present is really f***ing hard.

I'm actively trying to be more present in my yoga practice and I can honestly say it's one of the most difficult things I've tried to do.

To me the most fascinating backstory of Jeopardy is announcer Johnny Gilbert. I went with my Mom to a game show taping in Manhattan when I was 11 and he was the host.
