I call him Timmy. He reminds me of a guy I know named Timmy. Timmy was a SNAKE (they have similar personalities) from when I was young. I was friendly with this Timmy guy in my late teens through early to mid 20s I wanna say. Timmy was definitely not right in the head and he was also an alcoholic/crack head (he was in the closet with his crack usage though, unless you were also a crack smoker, which I absolutely was not) and he was a sketch character. He was also already on his second divorce by about 25 and all he did was talk about how terrible his son's mother was. He's your buddy one minute, then he's trying to jack your girlfriend the next minute.

I spent a decent amount of time accusing my first serious girlfriend of cheating on me with him or being interested in him. I really regret it, because I don't think she ever did, I KNOW she never did, but I caused so much drama in our relationship and really did a number on her by being so insecure about this guy, who she didn't even like as a person. I wish I could take all that back and while we didn't speak of him the last several years of our relationship, I know I did a lot of damage to our relationship over the Timmy boogieman the first few years of it.

I'm not judging him that for or anything, but I do wonder.

Travelling to all these away games, airfare, tickets for the game, lodging, rental car/uber/whatever. That gets pretty expensive.

If I had the money, It would probably be fun for me for an entire season, maybe two seasons at most, but I think I'd get burnt out on it after that. I'm not that into a nomadic lifestyle.

Even my touring musician friends get so tired of it that they sleep in until noon during the months they aren't on the road. And they don't feel much like traveling for vacations, because they're always sleeping on a tour bus or some hotel while they're working.

I'm getting tired and exhausted just thinking about traveling to all the away games. Maybe I need to think about this every night before bed? Haha.

The Metro teams are just really in such a tailspin right now, we might get 5 teams from the Atlantic in the playoffs and just 3 from the Metro.

I didn't even know he existed until last March at the Panthers game. I don't know how he ended up in my section two different times, considering I didn't even sit nearly in the same section lol.

I know more about him from this board than anywhere. He seems like an okay guy if you just see him for a second, but I think he's a phony. I heard him talking to this other guy and he was really talking a lot and the other guy was barely saying anything, but he didn't seem to mind either.

This is the guy that goes to all the road games. He's about 5 foot 3 and has a ton of tattoos. Sleeves and legs. I posted about him the night I went to the Panthers game two weeks ago. I was right behind outside before the doors opened. He was talking to some dude. He's one of those f***in phonies that talks to everybody. I don't know how he has all the money to go all these away games, he's gotta be a trust fund baby. Or he's a 35 year old millionaire. Whatever. He was talking about how he got a tattoo in Tampa and that he just drove down and he was gonna drive to Boston. I don't like these types, so I'm glad they stay away from me. Thank god for being socially awkward. These types don't come up and bug me.

And he lurks this board, because he was in my section and I stopped going up the steps between periods to let him get out and he gave me a dirty look and didn't even thank me for letting him out. Probably because he read this forum at some point between then and the 2 hours before that when I saw him outside and posted how I was right behind him.

He was at the game last year in Sunrise (the second one) and sat in my section. He was also at the Tampa game where Bratt had the hat trick the next night. I didn't see him that night in person, but that bucket hat that Bratt put on after the hat trick was his.

Basically that we didn't get shutout. That's the bar I have for the team at the moment in the midst of this disaster season. That they scored two and only lost by one is kind of amazing.

Usually the way i watch a Devils game these days is I don’t turn it on until i check the score and see they’ve scored at least once. Wasn’t even surprised tonight to check at like 7:40 and see it was 0-1.

Unfortunately tonight I was overcome with morbid curiosity to see how they would play with all the recent calamities.
