Still controll our own destiny if we win out... So it's ok.

Huge game tomorrow
Not anymore. We now only have 1 game in hand and if we win it, we are a point back. Winning this game outright meant we had the exact same point pace as Vancouver. Now we need to win tomorrow and get 2 more points than Vancouver in our final 3 games.

When you put it that way, this is a shitty loss

We are becoming elite at squandering golden opportunities. Lame pass. Shot into he goalies crest or lame along the ice. Throw in some posts and outright misses.

Think there is a good reason almost every goalie looks like Hasek against us.

Make up for this attempt to win by playing 30 minutes tomorrow. Should have energy for it.

Yotes played well and had tons of game. Very sharp, nothing to lose and played with pace and enough physicality and battle on pucks. It is the NHL and these kids played fantastic.

That said a Vet Oilers team HAS to realize not to give a young club like this so much confidence and that settling into the game is not the right approach.

We were beat to a lot of pucks tonight and Yotes anticipation for where pucks were going exceeded our own. Oilers were not sharp and lots of passengers. Not a good game from Cory Perry particularly.

Good game from Henrique even though he allowed the winning shot. Its harder to close out 3 on 3 so I don't blame him.

Good game from Pickard, didn't get a lot of help.

No. Because a game comes off the board for Vancouver tomorrow.

We still control our own fate. Lose tomorrow and it will be tough.

Lose tomorrow and we have essentially zero chance.

If we lose tomorrow we rely on Vancouver losing their last 2 games.

Max pts for Canucks is 109 if the Oilers win in regulation tomorrow night.

Max pts for Oilers is 110 if they win out.

It ain't over til it's over.

Tomorrow night is huge obviously but my guess is McDavid comes back and the Oilers put up a statement game tomorrow.

Wrong. We have 4 games left and Vancouver has 3. After tomorrow it’ll be 3 and 2. The key is who wins tomorrow

Yeah but one of Vancouver’s 3 more kicks at getting points is us tomorrow. Win that tomorrow in regulation and we just need to win 1 more game which we have in hand.

Logan Cooley, what a player. Just loved watching this guy tonight. Just FLYING out there. I'll give credit and have, Yotes are entertaining young squad that just playe with a bunch of heart. The guy has 7G 10pts in last 8GP. What a story. having a brilliant season.

Seeing this guys mile wide smile reminded me of a young Glenn Anderson or Ryan Smyth. Smaller, but that kind of enthusiasm. Kid having the time of his life out there.

Its OK to appreciate stuff like it. This Yotes team was playing like the 90's Oilers. It happens from time to time that the young upstarts prevail in a game.

Oilers get a very important point. Nurse with a pretty solid game too.

Yeah, not sure how smart it is to put a slow Perry with McLeod and Holloway who just got back from the A. That line looked awkward.Mcleod needs to stop being a perimeter player. He was effective around the net and along the boards during that 16 game win streak. Again I find his play too soft most of the time. .
Thought Kane and Pickard had great games tonight.

I don’t know why everyone thinks the division is out of reach now.. we never had the tiebreaker to begin with so again we have to pass them which we can.
