Thread asks what people would offer. All you're doing is saying " nu uh" and being dramatic

No point offering a fair deal when/if the request immediately is the world for Kadri.

Be realistic and you'll get fair offers. Not a big request

You can't seriously believe Kadri would return a #1D signed long term, can you?

That's because there are no 30 goal gritty shutdown centermen signed for 5 years at 4.5 mil ever available. It's impossible to get them.

Kadri is worth a hell of alot more than any team is willing to offer. In a vacuum he should fetch a #1D signed to a similarly great contract. Anything less would be terrible

Oh man, here we go again.

This guy has gone rogue, people. Do not engage

What are you even talking about? I didn't say anything about Kadri value.

So because 1 poster gave what you believe to be an unrealistic offer, you think the whole thread should be written off?

What wasn't I being realistic about? I'm the one who made the thread and I haven't made 1 offer so how am I being unrealistic?

Good realistic Leaf fan.

I never stated you specifically, i quoted the guy. You clearly didn't pick up on my sarcasm when I quoted him.

We are adding something to the thread, pointing out completely unrealistic requests.

Guy wants a #1D for Kadri

I want Matthews for Petan. Deal?

People need to be realistic or don't bother posting. Notice you didn't quote him your fellow Leaf fan.

Matthews for Petan? Will you throw in a 2nd? Lol

You said " be realistic and you'll get fair offers".

I'm the one asking for offers...

Why does 1 person making a bad proposal mean that no one else should give realistic ones?

If you can't come up with one, just say that

He came up a couple of times in Isles threads (with other Leafs fans barging in being like NO ABSOLUTELY NOT) but anyway, Isles could offer something involving Hamonic or Pulock and probably add to that.
I'd entertain the thought of Hamonic, his contract is appealing.
Although I don't really watch him play all that much, We talking mid-high end #2?

He's more a tweener 2/3 IMO, and he played through an injury this year. Was our top pair RD until Boychuk came along, doesn't look out of place if he has to step up. Prob the type of player Babcock would love.

Any teams offering a #1D signed long term? No?

Shut the thread down, I don't foresee any #1D signed long term being offered for Kadri.

You do realise the thread asks what the return would be for Kadri and not what #1 D we could get for Kadri? Before boldly stating the thread should be shut down you might want to have real reasons beyond your decision that because we can't get a #1 D for him he must not be worth talking about. It just comes off as crazy.

Doubt the Leafs move him. He has the combination of production and tenacity. The hit on Ovi when he thought he could run our players? Yeah that's a winning component on a great contract. Would have to be a great offer to pry.

Well this thread went to crap real fast.

Kadri would return a great piece. Think like a #1/Elite #2 defenseman.
He's a borderline #1c signed to a great contract long term.

That said, I have no desire to see him traded for anything short of an insane overpayment.

We'll solve our defense without trading Nazem.

I would only trade him for a young Top pairing (or potential) RD D-Man which is probably where talks fall apart with most teams.

Kadri would return a top 4 D, who knows who far too many variables to list individuals.

You do realise the thread asks what the return would be for Kadri and not what #1 D we could get for Kadri? Clearly you missed the sarcasm in my post directed at the poster I quoted. But for the record, no I don't believe you could get a #1D with long term for Kadri. Top 4 D, yes you could if there was a hockey trade that made sense.

Not that I know if they are or not but you ever think the poster is a child.

He might be, not sure. He has earned a rep with many posters.

I'm really curious if people watched our playoff series. You would see how valuable Kadri is. His one 'knock' is he is not a faceoff specialist, and needs to be to become a Selke level player.

This is what he does for us. He shuts down players, he scores and play on our PP. Then for a 'small' guy he can do this

People only remember questionable hits and don't see 99% of the time this guy is a wrecking ball on the ice against bigger guys.

Yeah and when it happens to him, he threatens to cut their throat...
