a 1.67 PPG in your D+1 is not impressive at all LMAO It's rather normal production. Look at all the draft eligible (D) players playing in the Q this year that have similar PPG's:

View attachment 344520

Kohvanov: Same age as Veleno, better PPG
Sokolov: same age as Veleno, better PPG
Zavgorodny: Younger than Veleno, better PPG
Samuel Poulin: full year younger than veleno, drafted 21st in 2019
Bourque: Similar PPG, younger by 1.5 years
Mercer: Similar PPG, younger by 1.5 years

What do all these prospects have in common? They're all projected as middle 6 players and have outperformed veleno.

Go to bed.

Dude... Khovanov was 19 when he put up his stats, same as Sokolov and same as Zav. Veleno did it as an 18 year old. Also your PPG was wrong, it’s 1.76. Also he was THIRD in his league in points... third. You call third in league scoring a bad season for an 18 year old? How many others have done that? Very few.

Even if you want to compare his actual PPG number (1.76) to this year’s higher scoring league then he would come in at 5th in PPG while being younger than 3/4 guys ahead of him and the only guy who isn’t is about to go first overall. This somehow shows “consistent underwhelming offensive numbers” as you so elegantly put it?

So so far you’ve been wrong about Veleno PPG pace, which league he plays in, his age, and how many years he played in the league, and the general rules of the AHL eligibility... anything else you want to be wrong about?

Strange how @alasania94 was replying to every post until he claimed that he had been saying, "Projects safely", the whole time and I quoted his, "Best case scenario", post.

He also has not addressed how he was wrong about:

1. AHL Eligibility Rules
2. Which league Veleno played in
3. How many years he played in that league
4. His PPG
5. His age in general
6. How Veleno has “consistently underwhelmed offensively” despite coming third in league scoring as an 18 year old

It’s almost as if he actually has no idea what he’s talking about and couldn’t even look at a HockeyDB page correctly?

Should've just abandoned ship like he did on the "Zadina's best case scenario is a top 6 winger", argument.
