In reality I think all teams are doing it, If your a GM your job is to call and ask prices. Our GM even had a quote where "Jeff (Gorton) has to tell me to stop trying to make deals because I'm always trying". there Job is to figure out the value of there players and if someone is overvalued in there eyes move on from them. Only way to do that is if there always calling.
