What's your excuse?
Initial reaction:

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! EVERYONE GET IN HERE!

but thoughtful reaction:

lol why did this take so long?

I (and everyone I knew whose opinion I mildly respect) guessed this contract would be a couple years and between 6 and 7 million before the 2019 playoffs. Made sense for both sides. Laine gets to bet on himself, and the Jets get two years to see if Laine becomes a more complete player.

I'm guessing one side or the other wanted to get a long-term extension.

What what now. This is just my reaction, I'll check the details after. Who knew my window would pop out with this information... is it spying on me?! probably.

It is high for sure, but well within reason. He gets the higher 2nd year for the QO but I'd expect he's either extended or traded if things either go well or poorly haha.

I'm just on time with my trade BS!

I like this news. It would have been such a BS move to trade him. I'm glad.
