NL Wildcard will come down to who sucks the least. Mets fans should probably be the most confident in their team right now because the Giants and Cardinals suck.

hell
this is a great weekend of baseball, btw.

red sox/jays
orioles/tigers
dodgers/marlins
astros/cubs

this is do or die for the marlins and astros, the astros need to get on a roll because they have two of the best teams in baseball this week. the marlins are getting kershaw, hill and maeda which is likely the dodgers' rotation come playoff time. for a team like the marlins who are still on the bubble this is a huge series for them.

red sox/jays is likely for the division and the orioles/tigers is for wildcarding.

They do worse when I get to watch them and since Sat-Sun are national and I get Ranger games, I'm worried. Don't even get them on the radio tonight due to high school football.

Anyway, quite a bit of a delay in Miami as the home plate guy got hit (second time I think tonight). Marlins have the bases loaded with 2 outs. Can't do anything with that, but still lead 4-0 going to the 6th

Given the Cardinals' ability to hit HR's, a 3-0 deficit is nothing for them.

EDIT: And right on cue. 2 2-run HR's. 4-3 lead.

Kris Bryant HR #37.

Lot of guys on pace for 40 HR's this season compared to previous seasons (And one guy- Trumbo- has already done so).

11-2 Red Sox.

Looks like Rick Porcello's gonna be a 20-game winner.

Considering how he looked last year before and after his DL stint... wow.

Red Sox game plan. Score a bunch first game, score none second game, maybe score some in the third game..

Tigers win. All tied for the WC number 2.

Pirates with a golden chance to at least tie it.

But they don't even get one. Reds win. That is another gut punch for PIT.

Loaded with none out for the Mets. Oh, Cespedes is up...he hits a sac fly, Grandy singles. 4-4.

Kelly Johnson doubles, 5-4 Mets.

The Pirates... man.

They haven't been the same since blowing that game at Wrigley when they were up 3 in the 8th (if Kang didn't hit that HR last night, they could be on a 10-game skid!)

Trea turner walkoff homer, second of the night. I tell ya the fact that the nats got turner and joe Ross in the trade is going to become one of the biggest steals in a while

Very happy that Preller decided to trade Trea Turner out of the NL West.

Between Bryant, Rizzo, and Daniel Murphy, this is a more interesting and well-rounded NL MVP race than last year when everyone just gave it to Bryce (even though I might have given Jake Arrieta consideration, for he had numbers just as good as Verlander 2011)
