As an outsider, it seems to me like if the Leafs were to trade Marner they would (should) want to get back someone who could effectively slot in next to Tavares plus a defenseman who can slot into their top 4, with the combined cost of the 2 guys coming back being less than what Marner is looking for. They'd need a deal that would make them at least as good this year and beyond than if they kept Marner.

If he was really on the block, he would have been traded by now. He's not. We put him on the block to field offers and no one was paying a fortune to take him, so we'll gladly keep him. Perhaps he's on the block again, but he will not be traded in a deal like your proposed. It's garbage and you should be shamed you even proposed it. The margin between Marner and Tkachuk is not Hamonic and the all-star Ceci.

Ceci has negative value. Marner + a little something for Tkachuk and Hamonic may work but not Ceci lol

You're right, no one would offer anything of significance because Hamonic is no longer the player he used to be. It's ok thou, you enjoy his 19 points while "All Star" Ceci had 26 on a garbage Ottawa team.

I would say no, but Tkachuk is everything the Leafs would love to add to their lineup, plus there'd be some cap savings too.
