Russo claims he has a "major scoop" that he is working on and should be reporting on within the hour.

I wonder if it's about Modano?

NYI guys have been unrelenting in their criticism of Nelson. A guy who plays hard in his final contract year...no thanks. he makes Coyle and Nino seem like Mr. consistentcy.
They said Nino was a crybaby also.

There is a player to be named later (baseball reference) attached to the NSH trade?

The NHL is hiring a special council to look into possible collusion between NSH, MN, and Fenton?:sarcasm::eek:

So, the 3ish year plan:

Fiala (25) - 1C - Kaprizov (25)
2LW - Eriksson Ek (25) - Kunin (24)
3LW - 3C - Aberg? (28)

1C = hopefully a center drafted in the top 5 in 2019 (21 yo)
2LW = either Greenway or Donato (25)
3LW = same as 2LW
3C = either Rask (28) or a guy like Dewar surprising (21-22)
That doesn’t look too bad. We’d have enough cap space to add someone in free agency too, though I’m not sure what caliber player we’d get.

Thanks. Looks like Aberg is an RFA as well. I have no idea what to expect on any of these contracts.
Wouldn’t mind Fenton taking a gamble of Fiala and locking him up for something reasonable on a 7 year deal, much like Vegas did with Tuch. I don’t know enough about Fiala to be confident in the move but it seems like the type of contract all good teams have.

Just to compare Tuch got 7 x $4.75 after a 15 goal, 37 point season at 22 years old.

Fiala is already 22 (soon to be 23) and already has a 23 goal, 48 point season.

I think the translation would be a LT $5M+ deal. I don't know how I feel about that.
Beat me to it. I think a tuch deal would be a good move

I think there will be a couple of guys from the Ladonia, McBain, Khovanov, Dewar, and Sokolov group that will be pushing for roster spots in 2-3 years.

The problem will just be the same that it's been for the entire existence of the Wild: having 2 quality top-6 centers.

Depends on how the next 5 weeks + a night in June go.

Guess how many of those guys are right handed?
