But with the new bosses preaching speed, AND actually trading Toffoli who wasnt the quickest I was having NO IDEA why Perreault was getting more NHL games with us, couldnt understand it

It's been a tough year for him with the injuries, but one of the more memorable things to happen on the ice this year was seeing him get a hat trick at home. Was nice to see his reaction and the ovation the fans gave him.

He wasn't when we signed him.

He was a low risk/decent reward signing, at close to league minimum for one year. Injuries and the eye issue he suffered really did him in.

At best we'll get a C-level prospect, but guys like Evans show some kids can develop over time, so you never know

Just checked CF and his minors salary is the same as his salary with the Habs so maybe he would go there.

Waiver exempted Perreault probably worth a 5th or a 6 on Monday, when all the big shopping is done.

Injuries happen all the time in the playoffs, no contending team would want Perreault as a regular, but as a 13th - 15th forward teams could always use a cheap veteran guy like him who's able to play any forward position.

Getting at 45 contract would be good for us, I'm not seeing Perreault going in the AHL at this point of his career.
