I wonder how good this Seattle team will be. Might be great for Apples career. Forward depth on the Jets probably means he doesn't break the top 6 any time soon.

Losing Appleton sucks, but we had no choice. But at the same time I hope he thrives in Seattle, which I believe he'll emerge as one of their best offensive players.

I see Perfetti, and Vesalainen too, stepping into Appleton's role.

Thought Apples had more upside than Copp, would have protected Apples over Copp!
________________________________________________

I think Apples could have more upside than Copp, but right now, Copp is the better player, and more proven. The Jets are probably thinking of trade as well with Copp, and he would bring in a lot better player in return than Apples would. This could be their plan - "trade him."

If you look at both players in 2-3 years time, it's very likely Apples will be the better player, and a lot cheaper in the upcoming next 3 years, than it would be to sign Copp for the rumoured $ 5 mil he wants.

I'm sure the Jets pondered over this, and it was a difficult decision.
