Great to see Petan get going with the Moose, so much depth in this organization now, with Petan, Roslo, Lemieux and now Appleton up front, Poolman and Niku on the back end, we have guys who can step in and contribute right away. Also puts us in a good position for a trade if Chevy feel next year is the year to go for it. Fun to watch the Moose right now. Good for Hutch too, I was hard on him last season but gotta give credit where it's due, guy is a true pro, goes down and plays lights out, hope he gets a chance somewhere else in the NHL.

Moose played a real nice game today. They adjusted from yesterday and were much more effective forechecking. I never felt they were going to lose even when the Marlins got the early goal. Watching the team the last two days (first viewings this year) there doesn't appear to be a weak line. It's like they're running two first lines plus a second a third. I think they play a lot like the Jets do and they might even be more committed to the systems than the Jets are. Especially on the PK. They look a lot like the Jets do but are much more apt to aggressively pressure the puck. They do also have the tight compact box but they seem to read each other so well when they pressure and when they back off.

There were lots of good players today. Tough to stand out when everyone is going like that. I will say that Roslovic goal that sealed it was filthy. It was a superstar type goal. I know he fancies himself a playmaker but he has a hell of a shot.

The Marlins broadcasters were gushing over the Moose team speed all weekend. They reluctantly called them the best team in the AHL.

Who would have guessed that Lemieux would be leading the Moose in points per game at this point?

has kostalek topped out? always had high hopes for him.

is spacek starting to become more productive? i am hoping he becomes some sort of pp specialist. thought he was really good on pp during preseason.

harkins, starting to play better? seems to be one of the more disappointing picks but hope he figures it out.

he looks like a complete differant player than before.. hes always had the shot but not the speed and consistency. i was kinda writing him off after the injury and he always gave me attitude and thinking he deserved everything entitled vibes, but after watching his interviews now and him mentioning kind of a aha moment where he has to work harder is making me become a fan. that and i love how much he pisses ppl off on the ice !

Not me I was rough on Lemieux but he is having a hell of a season and good on him. My favorite thing is when I am wrong about a player and they exceed my expectations because that is good for the organization.

How nice is that first goal to see, Roslo-Spacek-Appleton-Petan. Every pass smooth.

Petan looked really good in those highlights, what a shot by Roslo, Buddy could have had a few and had a gimme if he hadn't lost the handle on that wraparound.

I said in the pre-season, Schilling is not an NHL player, but it's going to be very nice to have him on the Moose. +27, 21 points in 29 games, he's exceeded every expectation I had for him. Who knows, maybe he could play a few games and not look completely out of place in the NHL.
