I think were in good position and dont have to panic move. Coyle has been carrying the team and as long as he still is superman donny can buy some time and get a good hockey deal done.

How does this make any sense for the Bruins? You take Carlo out and our right side is significantly weaker. You want Clifton playing top 4 minutes?

I would be looking into Miller and Boeser, if we can get one of those guys or make a blockbuster move for both, that would really jolt the top 6. DeBrusk would have to be part of the package going back, alone with young guys like Frederic, Studnicka , Vaak etc.

The question is what is the plus plus.

Substitute Lindholm for Carlo in your top 4
and that is a big upgrade.

I know you may not get Lindholm for these two but somehow we need to move their cap hit. I do not think it would hurt the team if you managed to get Lindholm. Gryz and Debrusk for draft picks or some minor league prospects. This could also help when trying to acquire other players.

To get Lindholm it may be difficult though with what we have available.

Hopefully something can be worked out.

When has Gryz played RD successfully at the NHL level? I agree Lindholm enhances whoever is on the Right. So why don't we keep our RD instead? Unless you are going from the premise the Carlo has that much more value than any of our LD, which is perfectly fair.... just robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Why would we move an RD to acquire an LD, to then shift a lesser LD over to the Right side?

I'm ok with adding Lindholm, but at the expense of shipping out an LD in the process. Either in that trade or a subsequent one.

Carlo's struggled, but he fills a bigger role/need than an LD right now. We've literally got 4 bottom pair LD right now. Subtract one of them. Add Lindholm, keep Carlo.

I'm wondering if Esa Lindell might be available from the Stars. Obviously they aren't having a great start to the season and this will be the second year now. They need mucho dinero for Klinberg, Robertson and Gurianov. I cant see them being ok with carrying two defenseman making over 8 mil and Lindell at nearly 6.

I'm wondering if Forbort or maybe Reilly (if we're lucky) could be moved in a package with futures for him. Lindell would be the perfect partner for McAvoy. I literally have no idea what his value might be but would be a good #2 dman in front of Gryz and Carlo.
