I know the Bolts paid a ransom for Jeannot and with injuries and not producing how he did in Nashville. To help fill out the lightnings depth up front and decent help on the back end would they be open to:

Tanner Pearson - @50%
David Savard

For

Tanner Jeannot
Philippe Myers
2nd round pick

They have no assets left to give up for a good LD.

No 1st or 2nd 2024, no 1st in 2025, barren prospect pool.

They went all-in and were successful doing so, but now they can only go bargain bin shopping.
Unfortunately almost all of those picks were given up for just Tanner Jeannot, so I wouldn't say we've been successful doing so.

That’ll buff right out… he’ll be fine.

In all seriousness, yeah he hurt.

Something around Byram.and Cirelli , I know probably doesn't make much sense for Tampa to lose Cirelli

Matheson can give them the offense...but they got NOTHING to trade.

The perfect storm of a team going all in...until there is nothing left to build on.

We shouldn't spend any considerable assets for this years team. Kuch is carrying the offense by himself, bottom six is devoid of offense, defense is filled with bottom pair players sans Hedman and Cernak and Vasy keeps giving up freebies every game. This team isn't going deep.

Sens are overloaded on LD.

In theory, chabot, chychrun and brannstrom could all be available. But it seems like Brannstrom would be the best option for the lighting since you don't have much to send back.

Not the player he was drafted to become or the one we expected in that trade, but he's an NHL player with skill and is still slowly trending upwards. He's ideally a #5 but can be a #4 in an emergency (he even played LW for the sens in a game or two this year).

He's RFA next season and i kind of expect the sens to play it patiently and keep him.

Mike Matheson for an unprotected 2026 1st round pick and whatever cap dump is needed to make it happen.

above is a prob

Joel Edmundson will almost certainly be traded from Washington. You could do better but you could also do worse and he won’t be expensive to acquire.
Edmundson -- otherwise acceptable but is his skating sufficient/is he a pylon

-----------
Zac Jones + 2026 Rangers 3rd
for
TBL 2025 2nd

He’s big and his skating is decent but nothing spectacular. Edmundson is a big, physical, crease defender who can PK. You’re not going to get much in the way of transition play or offense but he’s a serviceable bottom pair guy.
thanks that was basically my take but what I wanna know is
while I don't expect him to keep up w/elite speed Fs,
does he have enough speed/lateral skating prowess to defend in open ice?

No ? he can clear the crease, but....?

On the buyer to do due diligence and know what they are getting before.

Edmundson is better then jones and fits the mode of dmen that Tampa likes
