This thread has really devolved. Gaudreau is a very good player. Draisaitl is a very good player. IMO, edge Draisaitl, but there's some really dumb ****posting happening.

I guess we have short memories of Gaudreau's first playoff appearance.
Remember when Gaudreau fed Lindholm his lunch?
Man you are right. What a non-factor.

You obviously don't remember him being benched during that series because he got hit a few times, good stuff.
I'm talking about this year
0G 2A 2Pts -4...5th on team in points...2nd worst +/-
non factor
Back to using +/- and 4 game sample sizes, eh?
Is there a reason you're ignoring his playoff performance as a rookie? I have an idea as to why . . .
It really is. The votes show it.
Less than a PPG in the playoffs is brag worthy now? Draisaitl was over a PPG in his first go at it. Keep digging for those gems and you can be an "analysist" too.
because I'm talking about this past season...and I'm wondering why you're ignoring his disappearing act
That spinning no look back pass into his linemates feet when he had a clean look in the slot to tie it late in game 4 does not support this post.Because it wasn't a disappearing act. At least not anymore than what we saw from McDavid. Sometimes the puck just doesn't go in. He created plenty of chances. Point totals aren't really indicative of performance, especially over such a small sample size. That's why I was overwhelmingly supportive of the way McDavid played, despite his production.
The reason the Flames were swept was goaltending. If you watched the games you'd know that.

Not sure how to treat your post, aside from being reflective of your insecurities. I mean, you referred to two things that are non-existent in my post (bragging; Draisaitl's playoff performance compared to Gaudreau's), and then you made a reference to my typo as if it actually means something.
I guess i'll leave you with the thought that maybe there is more to a comparison than comparing raw points from different seasons and contexts...but i'm sure you'll dig out a typo and make fun of that instead of having an interesting and informative conversation.
Each to his own, of course.
