Yep because trading the goalie that routinely bails out their ass defense is what needs to be done...
lehner is about the same value goalie we sign lehner long term and go with lehner, and gets value for frederik in a traade that favors us?!

Andersen has been in a bad slump for about a month and not himself for most of the year. Obviously we should get rid of him, goalies have never bounced back in the history of ever.

Andersen has been covering for the Leaf's D and offense first style for years now. He's probably the biggest reason they made the playoffs the last couple of seasons. But yes, they should definitely trade him.
Then again, its kind of hard to tell what OP is trying to say, they might be having a stroke.

Not sure why Andersen should be traded. Seems like a bad idea imo. And isn’t he UFA in 2021? Also has a modified no trade clause??? This Doesn’t make sense OP. You cant just throw a player to a team when he has a NTC. Also he’s 1 year away from free Agency just keep em.
They would be stupid to trade Andersen. Get a back up goalie and some defense help, rest the guy a little instead of shelling him 60+ times a year every year.
A competent goalie (regardless of age) would be really good idea to have for New Jersey and a young team. It helps install confidence in the players. If you already have one in the pipeline than never mind.

Andersen has a NTC. And I doubt he would be okay going to Jersey anyway. No offense. But it’s a moot point regardless of OP shipping em to you.

Andersen has been brutal lately and overall has had a down season, but I'd rather just ride it out and let him figure things out than make a big shakeup

His slide almost exactly correlates with losing Muzzin to injury and directly correlates to losing both Rielly and Muzzin to injury.
Andersen isn't the issue. Your defence is very young and patchwork with your two best guys out.
