It scores at the same pace as with Nylander. The only other option is Kappy but then you forsake Nylander completely. Depends if you want balance or a super line.
The Hyman-Brown combo is at 48.52 CF%, the Hyman-Nylander is at 51.27 CF%. I do agree Matthews should be getting the Crosby treatment with two skilled defensive forecheckers but I disagree that those two should be Hyman-Brown. Crosby does get grinders to play with but he gets grinders with good hands. I'd go with Johnsson-Brown.
Johnsson - Matthews - Brown
Marleau - Kadri - Marner
Hyman - Nylander - Kapanen

Can’t saddle Matthews with two grinders. Kapanen or Marner with him for sure. Hainsey can not play top pairing minutes next year if this team expects to compete.
Size ain't a skill. I should have said skill, not attribute.

Those poster who actually think Tavares will sign with leafs are the same poster who thought Stamkos is coming to Toronto. Stop with that please
Andersson has never played more than 10 games in a season in the NHL and you want to throw him right onto the top pairing? Not a good development path for a defender to do that.Having a bit of fun with 91 if he takes 9.1/7.
Grundstrom - Matthews - Marner
Johnsson - Tavares - Nylander

Trade: Brown + Bracco/Timashov/Sparks for Rasmus Andersson
Gardiner (50%) to St. Louis for Jordan Schmaltz, and 2nd round pick (45)
2018 Draft
25: Ryan Merkley
45: Jake Wise
52: Sean Durzi
*If we can trade Marleau for anything, do that.
Could be right.
Hyman Matthews Kapanen
Johnsson Kadri Marner
Marleau Nylander Brown
I'd be happy with that.
After seeing how well Hyman played on his natural side with Johnsson on the left, I think a Johnsson-Matthews-Hyman line should be given a chance. And I'd also look at trying a Grundstrom-Nylander-Kapanen 3a speed line running at about the same minutes as a 3B Leivo-Altonnen-Brown posession line.

Hasn't been great? He's done exactly what he was brought to do and then did more in the playoffs.
Also Bab's boys? Lou signed him.
I was wondering what the zone start differences were? I.e. was Matthews starting more shifts in the offensive zone when Nylander and Hyman were on his wing compared to when he was with Brown and Hyman? The Hyman-Brown combo is at 48.52 CF%, the Hyman-Nylander is at 51.27 CF%.
