Eller is a better winger than DD.

"If Eller played a 2nd line minutes" is a nice argument. Let's take a look:

DD ES TOI: 13:34/GP

Eller's ES TOI last year: 13:41/GP
Eller's ES TOI the year before: 13:26/GP

Eller's ESP all of last year: 23
Eller's ESP all of the year before: 21
DD's ESP less than halfway through the year: 16(very few came with max relative to Flash/Weise)

Both playing with guys like Weise. Flash is not unlike Sekac.

Keep in mind he spent a BIG portion of 2013-14 with Galchenyuk. Sometimes Gallagher.

It's also fantastic than you put Eller at 45 points when he's never hit that.

First, If Weise or Fleischmann are comparable players to Prust, Sekac, Bourque or Semin....then we should probably get rid of them right?

Second, DD's role on the team always been different at center. Eller got defensive mission while don't take many.

Third, putting Eller at 45 points as a first line center really sucked you know? Sucks just less than DD. Eller did have 30pts in 46 games and would've probably hit that mark since he was our best player when he got hurt against Ottawa in the PO.

You know right that Eller put up 43 points in 76 games between the start of 2012-2013 to the 20th game of 2013-2014.......when the Egg line was broken. So saying that Eller could put 45 points in 82 games isn't far-fetched cause he practically did it.

Don't care if there's a summer between the two season, it's still one long stretch showing there's a possibility.
