Bold indeed….

Kopitar once again leads the team in scoring

Kempe pots 50 goals

Byfield breakouts with 55-65pts

Clarke leads the Kings Dmen in scoring & ROY

Turcotte finds his health and replaces Arvy on the Phil line

Fiala-PLD-Kali are magical offensively but suck at defense

Todd happens and the Kings lose in rd 1
Love these ones in bold.

Particularly the one about Kempe getting to the 50 goal mark.

That would be so fun to watch and I actually think he's got a decent enough chance to do it. The guy has turned into such a fun player - that release/shot is money.

I'll add another - Not sure how bold this is but.....

The Kings end the season with a top 5 offense and top 3 powerplay in the league.

Goaltending and lack of toughness are valid concerns, especially during playoff time. But I think we all know this team is going to score a LOT of goals in the regular season.

Talking especially about the powerplay - You can say the Kings gave up too much to get him. You can say $8.5 million for 8 years is too much. But at the end of the day Dubois makes the Kings powerplay even better. He's an excellent net front guy (scores a lot via deflections and punching in rebounds) and has a wicked wrist shot if he ends up in the slot.

I think this group is going to absolutely feast on teams:
Dubois
Fiala - Kopitar - Kempe
Doughty

And the 2nd group should be able to score a bunch too, especially if it ends up looking like:
Byfield
Arvidsson - Danault - Kaliyev
Clarke (or Spence tbh)

Powerplays should be very fun in LA this year :)

Fiala will easily be the top point player this season if he stays healthy.

Kings get bounced first round

Todd extended 20 years.

Byfield doubles his goal total this year from 3 to 6.

Burbank, CA
1984 4th round draft pick Tom Glavine attends his first Kings training camp at age 57.

The Kings are impressed with his poise and begin work on a new player development plan for their draftees. It requires having a 20-year hall of fame career in another sport, then retiring for 15 years before getting their opportunity to crack the Kings' lineup.

I.E.
Kings stumble out of the gate and are near the bottom of the Pacific after 25 games

McLellan fired, Sturm takes over

Byfield 70 points

PLD 75 points

Fiala 100 points

Doughty top 5 in Norris voting

no goalie posts over a .905 here, Things get a little out of hand, Blake trades several 1sts and good prospects for Saros or Hellebuyck

Turcotte forces his way in by midseason, Thomas soon to follow, after above trade

My prediction is that goaltending, current duo doesn't get it done and Kings find themselves outside looking in during the stretch drive.

Not a very bold prediction, but I'll say Fiala leads the team in scoring.

Vilardi will outscore PLD.

Kaliyev hits 30 goals, because why not?

Clarke is second among Kings defensemen in scoring.
While I think Vilardi will do well, I believe PLD will also be highly effective. I'm a huge Vilardi fan, but PLD was also very good on the PP for the Jets. I am very curious to see what the lines are going to look like.

Lots of people predicting Turcotte will do well. I hope they're right, but I'm certainly not getting my hopes up.

Imagine how huge it would be for this organization if Clarke, Turcotte and Byfield all had good seasons.
