This is pretty good. Who'd be the extras? Folin, Lee, & Nolan? Or Dowd?

This. I would only make Dowd the 3C and move Kempe to the wing on that line.

Folin , Nolan . Lee is not in our plans , from what Rosen said.

Rosen said Dowd will most likely be in the press box and my friend who has some connection said Dowd might be moved.

Andreoff takes Gaboriks spot for now. Nolan and Dowd healthy scratches.

Btw this line up doesn't blow me away. The first line is from 2006, the second line is 4-5 years old now. The 4th is same from 2014 except we swapped Shore and Richards. The third line is the only fun line.

The lineup doesn't blow me away either but if everyone plays to their potential and this new system for offense and creativity works I think we matchup pretty well against everyone. Compare our lineup to the Oilers and you will see we are actually better . I have a feeling Cammy is going to surprise us all and score 20+ goals

That's the key, plus Quick needing to play 60+ games and the young defenseman having to develop further.

I want to try Muzzin back with Doughty and Forbort with Amart. Forbort is much better defensively than Muzzin not to mention Muzzin seems to be a head case. Let him get his confidence back with DD. The last thing he needs is to try and carry a rookie (Ladue).

The Kings overall have a fine group of individuals for D but the LH/RH, puckmover/SAH matches and maturity levels just don't work. The bottom pair looks like a coin toss to me. Blake really needs a trade to help with the pairings but I don't see that happening.

I like Kempe as a C. He looks much more like a playmaker than a sniper. I don't see a lot of goal scoring potential from him but if he can learn to play D and win faceoffs he will fill a huge hole in the lineup (#3 C that has a chance speedwise to match up with someone like McDavid).

Looking at roster.

Dowd and Gaborik makes it 11 forwards Kempe looks ready that's 12 .
Don't think Stevens and Blake are ready to send Nolan to AHL so that's 13.
One forward space left, if Gaborik is injured from the start two.
Brodzinski, Andreoff, Mersch and maybe Auger.
Could see Mersch and Auger to pass waivers easily.
Brodzinski can be send down so that would leave Andreoff with team.
Not fan of Clifford, Nolan and Andreoff with 14 forwards.

Forbort-Doughty
Muzzin-Martinez
-LaDue
Jon Rosen wrote that LaDue has roster spot with Kings.

Folin and MacDermid have to go through waivers.
Fantenberg and Gravel dont have to.
It's who Blake thinks is ready and who other teams might take if send to waivers.

Would think Folin is with 7 defenseman that Kings pick.

That would leave MacDermid, Fantenberg or Gravel fighting for the last spot.

Both Mersch is gone down on waviers and Nolan is gone to buffalo So need to rethink this

Same here, looked around JR posts and he did not say that.

Well as everyone can see the lineups coaches are using now are who's going to be on the opening day roster . So they can get good looks and build chemistry . Today Rosen said only Carters and Shores line is set in stone either in a blog or one of his comments , that one I'm sure you guys can find. But Brodz is on Kopis line and Kempe is with Cammy and Andreoff so the writing is on the wall that Dowd has to earn the ice time. It's unfortunate because I like Dowd and think he's better than most of our bottom 6 but something about him doesn't intrigue our coaches. It's obvious that he's not going to start or that can all change but right now Andreoff and Brodz are being given looks rather than him. I also don't like that Ladue is not in the top 6 I'm hoping that's just to get a final look on Folin.

In one of Jon Rosen's recent articles Stevens said the only lines that were really set in stone are 70/77/73 and 13/21/22

Stevens also said he wants to keep Kopi and Brown paired together.

So that just leaves 1st line RW spot and our 3rd line.

Stevens had good things to say about Brown. Said he's getting to the net more. This is good. Brown's average shot distance had been increasing the last few years. Maybe this move will help him score more, especially on rebounds.

So which one is our roster thread ? I hate this new format has me confused as f*** . I don't know what's what. So after Stevens quotes today only lines 2 and 4 are set in stone and everything else is up in the air . Can't wait to see how it shapes up. I don't get all the talk about Cammy being back with Brown and Kopi and knowing each other chemistry when they don't even stick to it lol. Blakey getting nervous ?
