Kaprizov is a way better player than Gaborik, its not even remotely close IMO.
Completely disagree. Prime Gaborik would have as good a production, if not better, if he were teleported in the current era. One of the most talented players I have ever seen live in my life. Kaprizov is elite too, dont get me wrong. But to say that it's not close is just hyperbole. It's VERY close either way.

Talent alone is not the key differentiator between the two. Gaborik used to drop 3 pucks at the center Faceoff circle and snipe dead center of the crossbar 3/3, his skill was undeniable. But Kaprizov has so much more meat to his game and ways to generate opportunities, his all ice impact is far greater than Gaborik’s ever was, while being nearly as good through the neutral zone as Gaborik’s best strength.

Agree with this.

I think I could go either way between the two offensively, but Kaprizov is easily the more well-rounded player. Gaborik's speed and shot were simply electric and he played in a trap system with literally no talent for first half of his career but cherry picked, didn't play in his zone, and couldn't beat you every way that Kaprizov can.

Even with his recovery from injury problems during the whole first half of the regular and missed games he's almost scored 100 points.

I'd say he's the best LW in the game (yeah, better than Panarin) and 2nd best winger after Kuch overall.

I wish I could find video of it. I was too busy reading last night to truly watch the game. If anyone finds video, don't be a video hoarding dragon, please post it.
