The jury is officially in.

He's down and at this point is a 2nd or 3rd line face off specialist and Pena,ty killer with a contract that is a boat anchor on this aging salary cap strapped team.

His and awabeooks contracts as compared to their level of play are why the Hawks are looking like red 1.0 and we're first round exits the last two seasona and will miss the playoffs this season

Lost in all of this -Saad has been a major disappointment outside of a couple of games. Long drought for himself and his line mates and his play hasn't elevated the play of his $10.5m linemate

On pace for 44 points.

Bad.

And he was brought back solely to put lead in Toews pencil. That haant happened

Regardless of what panarin is or isn't doing in CBJ, that's a 30 point drop off vs panarin and the captain on pace for a whopping 54 points

Another thing to highlight his lack of effectiveness.

The Hawks have had more pp opportunities than any team in the NHL. He's averaging playing at least half of the mi utes of an average of 4 pp a night.

And still on pace for 54 points.

Its truly shameful that only 4 players out of the top 9 are showing up to games, it has been the story of the season, where would the Hawks be if it wasnt for Cat? Seriously they would be bottom feeders now. I cant complain about the 4th line either, they bring it every game, too much dead weight as it is and now Saad is emerging as another one.

Long long Sigh, I have no more words...

Saad has been invisible all on his own. Prior to the last couple of games and aside from the first few, Saad has been much worse than Toews.

I'm glad that some of you don't run the Hawks bench/org. Yep! Best way to get players in a funk out of it... is to keep them off the ice! :sarcasm:

It is people like you who run it and keep washed out players there and that is why this team has been a failure for the past 3 years, oh but wait why don’t you tell us about 2015 and before that lol. If someone that had some balls was running this team it would not be a bottom feeder right now...

They've been largely underwhelming this year but they're a point out of a wildcard spot right now. Hardly a bottom feeder.

No, there should always be a lull for a few weeks after thanksgiving.

6 weeks of holiday time? c'mon man

Thanksgiving usually falls in the last week of November, like the 27th/28thish. It was earlier than normal this year. There's typically 4-5 weeks between.

But, the point is, it's the "holiday season". Thanksgiving goes hand-in-hand with Christmas. Anyone who can be grumpy and angry around this time of year needs to do some serious soul searching.

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real thing...especially in places where you're lucky to see any sun between September and June. Not for me, though, I love the kind of weather that makes the California transplants want to commit suicide. Plus don't forget the free-for-alls that happen thanks to the consumer...uhm..."slang term for multiple people knowing each other in the biblical sense" that is the holiday shopping season. So yeah, I can see people being in a urine-poor mood this time of year.

Then only thing that put me in a bad mood for the 1st Dallas match was having to put in an all-nighter at work because of a manager who couldn't manage a good bowel movement without written instructions. But you should know my take on the 'hawks...if I can't enjoy them playing well I'll find comedy in them playing poorly...

Plus it was nice to see Tazer dent the twine last game...even if it was too little too late.

Let's show Toew's the replay of Nieves goal for the Rangers. Show it to Panik and Scmaltz too.

Imperfect pass, he receives it and rips it in about 1/3 second. Rookie's 1st NHL goal.

While this is true and has been for roughly a decade, I'm not sure criticism of Toews right now is the best evidence of it.

Yes, the criticism he gets is completely disproportionate to and indiscriminate of his actual performance, and has been for awhile, but he does deserve at least some heat.
