Certainly a possibility but why would the Jets take a less advantageous trade when Budaj will soon be off the books anyway. Surely no one could actually want Budaj after his horrible play in the AHL.

Budaj injured is more likely than him being traded I think but I am also thinking they want to give Olki another chance. He is on an expiring contract and must have been on his way out until he seemed to turn it around in the ECHL. Maybe they want to give him a few more AHL games before deciding whether to drop him or not.

I agree. It's more likely that Budaj is injured than that he gets traded. I just don't see the Jets sending him to the ECHL. That would be a pretty low move for the Jets, I would think.
