Apparently they iced an AHL team...also this from the Avs board

"Jets fans seem to be overly too excited about this win. It's like the best thing their franchise has accomplished in their history. I wouldn't be surprised if they started that whole thing. Just let them be. This is how you know that a franchise hasn't done shit, when they are this excited over a 5-0 regular season win over the cup champs"
What a sad individual.

Where would I go to get full details of last night's brawl in the stands?

Seems my Freep this morning is ignoring it, or at least keeping to their usual standard of not covering things that people want to read about.

The r/Winnipeg and r/WinnipegJets subreddits have some vids/coverage of it... a couple you can really see how grotesque the incident was. Hoping the one man who was severely injured recovers fully... it looked awful. TNSE should make sure he is well taken care of.

They were talking about that brawl on the radio and said a thirty-something man and 28-year old woman were arrested. Also mentioned a woman spat on police so I'm guessing it's the same 28-year old woman. If that picture of the woman in handcuffs posted earlier in this thread is from yesterday's game, I'm guessing it was her?

I just saw a vid clip of the fight that clearly shows the guy falling and slamming his head. It's awful...like really brutal. It's depressing that that shit happens over a hockey game.

Yeah, the woman in the photo is the same that spat on the police.

She spat on fans as well, which from what I understand might have been the catalyst that started the entire thing?

Perfetti on that line is the difference. He's making plays like crazy every time he is on the ice.

They're in 2nd, Mort ......... don't know where you getting the first from

Big Saks got an explosive shot. If he can just work on his timing I think he's going to score more.

That sounds unintentionally dirty.

Yeah, that's what I first thought, too, but I thought it was just me. There's a reason why folks call it our "inner voice".

I think my inner voice took a siesta, as I didn't see it until it was pointed out.

Hold on, guys. Let’s take a look at the Corsi here because the Corsi will be more indicative of our future results and gosh, it ain’t lookin’ good. Time to tank! :sarcasm:

Heh, how long ago was that type of nonsense? Four years ago?

Jets are having the year most of us were expecting from last season. Nice thing is we have Ehlers in our back pocket and cap space for rentals.

The difference was that those times in the past the Jets won some games where they looked absolutely awful - and the Corsi backed up the eye test. You knew it was unsustainable.

Last night, if you watched the whole game and never once heard or saw the shot count, you would have guessed it to be the other way around in the end.

I also have to say, I love seeing Wheeler with less stress/tension. Even when we were winning in the past few years, there was an edge of stress that wouldn't go away. When he had the C, he was forced into a more political position that was outside his wheelhouse, though I believe he gave it his all and learned through it, it wasn't the right fit from day 1.

In my opinion, removing the C wasn't a punishment at all, it was a recognition that it wasn't helping him or the team. If we ever get a new C, it will need to be someone who's comfortable with diplomacy - because that's the hardest part in this current hockey culture. Though I personally think that having a bunch of A's is far better from a philosophical and functional standpoint...

When I saw Sara Orlesky's post game interview of Perfetti, I couldn't help but think that she could take him in a fight. Her hands are way bigger, that's for sure. :)
I don't know if Sara would like your observation, of her big knuckles.

Wheeler has definitely handled the removal of the "C" extremely well. And agreed, he seems to be far less stressed.

I guess if that is the reason. I worked for far too many years connected to the gambling industry to be superstitious. Magical thinking is a road to ruin.

lol...well I don't think we need to assume the worst in this case. I suspect there may have been an element of humorous intent in the original post in question.

Wheeler still has some top 6 time left in him.

Corsi < Scorsi

But more than that. The shot counts were simply not indicative of the play.
I heard the first 10 minutes of the 'Locked On The Avalanche' podcast. Chris Micieli of The Hockey Writers is the host. Not sure his stats source but he said the Avalanche had 47 shot attempts, 35 of which were low danger shot attempts and only 3 actual high danger shots on goal. And that the Jets dominated the game overall.

I don't know if Sara would like your observation, of her big knuckles.
Sara, if you are reading this, what I said is that Cole's are small!

I was confused by the 1st comments also. Maybe they are talking about winning percentage in the division?

They're actually in 2nd points wise in which actual standings takes place first and foremost.

Mort is just debating the winning % in which we're better ......... 53.5 K arguments can't be wrong ......

Good to know they take a loss just about as poorly as we do on our board.
