I still don't understand the team’s obsession with Appleton and why they would never consider moving him off the 3rd line. Even with Vilardi on the 1st line, put Iafallo in Appletons spot on the 3rd and move Apples to the 4th.
I notice Appleton is always out killing penalties when we need him. Perhaps that's why?

Then again, I won't pretend I understand most player personnel decisions that the team makes. I just trust to the fact that Chevy and Bones and Arnie and some other nicknames I can't recall right now have a lot more expertise than I will ever have and they work with these players intimately on a daily basis.

I agree last night's game is a major step in the right direction, however the rest of the trip will really show where they are at or if this was a one off
There's a lot to said for the occasional one off.

If this were an ongoing seminar on critical theory, would you be that sanguine about the people in charge?
Do your reading and some day you too will be an HFJ professor ;)

knocking him down from the 3rd line to the 4th doesn't preclude him from killing penalties.

i don't understand the exorbitant amount of appleton hate. with vilardi's injury appleton may be our 2nd best natural RW. Id play vilardi, toffoli or appleton ahead of iafallo.

This season has been a wild one...
- Scheif sucks trade hime/Scheif is too good to sign here
- Helle sucks trade him/Helle too good to sign here
- Bowness system can't generate offence, he should be fired
- Brad Lauer sucks one year after Brad Lauer should replace Bones
- Namestnikov vs Perfetti at 2C... now Perfetti vs everyone who's not Perfetti
- Monahan for a first - the sky is falling!!
- The annual waiver crisis
- Ehlers is not re-signing, he's not happy
- @Jets31 cancelled
- Why haven't we traded for Konecny yet

Thats a healthy list...
Wait @Jets 31 got cancelled??

But Plain Jane!?!?! And who's gonna boogie-woogie.

He is uncancellable.
My favourite was jets31 being cancelled for referencing spicolli! lol. It’s days like that that make me think we’re doomed as a species.
People got offended for gays because they percieved his dislike of a nearly naked 'hockey' model as homophobic.

I, however, took it as him not being into men, which I THINK is still allowed?
I honestly have lost track of what's allowed lol

No, he just went back and delete some posts and then he posted a little apology.

He better not get banned, he's one of my homie-posters
Wait! He is really banned??? Or are we kidding here.
The Dude is still here but a couple of misunderstanding posters made it tough on the Dude and too many girlie pictures bothered some.

I agree and i also think Iafallo gets a bit of a bad rap too, the guy doesn't score but playing with Scheifele and Connor he does work his ass off getting to the tough area trying to get the puck to Scheifele and Connor . I love the depth the Jets have, gone are the days of having absolutely no 4th line and Scheifele, Connor and Wheeler playing 25 minutes a night and being too tired to back check.

Apples is making 2.167m.
What do people expect from him?
He is the RWer on the best (or one of the best) 3rd lines in hockey.
He's fast, forechecks like a demon and kills penalties.
What more do people expect?
I've been a critic of Apples in the past, but I think you're correct in your assessment of him. He has a defined role and he does it quite well.

Anything can happen in the playoffs but in terms of fit I can already tell Toffoli is slam dunk, easily the best deadline piece Cheveldayoff has added. Just so smart and consistent, plays a simple enough game that Bowness' system won't affect him negatively.

Also 1 of 2 players with a cup on the team.

Who are those guys? I've seen them at games before. Not sure as large a group.

So the far, far, far better half and I are in the city today and and on of the things on our agenda was visiting a friend at HSC when I was outside Emerg indulging in one of my many bad habits when who should pull up but our very own RB, walking very gingerly, with an escort, he wasn't driving.

Not going to speculate, just want to say get better soon RB, you are an important part of what will be this season's Stanley Cup champions.
