Lots of iceplex practices this week if anyone is inclined to attend.

Alas I do not have tomorrow off otherwise I would be there.

I'm interested in seeing if Moe follows through with his comments to call up specific players for specific roles if Perrault is out for awhile.

The real test. This is it. :naughty:

In all honesty, this is an excellent C-bus team. I look forward to seeing how the Jets measure up.

Gotta win these.
Columbus could potentially shut us down.
I’d be impressed beating this club.

Finnish content increasing. He doesn't have far to travel. Just needs to move over to the Fairmont.

I can't imagine if Perreault is injured and Connor doesn't get called up, what the reaction would be here and in the Moose locker room

Well there's a chance nobody gets called up. In order to recall Connor they have to make a roster move. If neither Kulikov or Perreault are expected to miss much time the team may elect not to place them on IR since that makes them ineligible to play for 7 days.

I suppose they could retro Lowry to IR as well and he would be eligible to play sooner. They could also send Petan or Poolman down to make room. And don't forget Hendricks is probably getting pretty healthy as well.

Since the Jets only play 2 games between now and two thursdays from now, it seems like a no brainer to put Perreault or Kulikov on the 7 day IR if they are not ready to go on Tuesday.

Jets PK ranks 30th in league after 5 games played.

Pretty sure they havnt had a game without allowing a PPG yet this year.

Thought planning to have two 4th lines with PK specialists would help in this dept.

Why? If they are unsure they will be out for the week there is no rush since everything can be done retroactively if needed. If they don't plan to immediately call up a Moose player there is no rush. The Moose pretty much have an off week before traveling to Iowa on Thursday so they are around at a moments notice if need be.

If they expect both players to miss two games then there is a higher likleyhood but what if they are game time decisions. It depends on how injured they are.

In theory that would be interesting if we had guys in the bottom six that were actually PK specialists. This group just gets minutes but they are not that special.

Yikes the next 5 games might be the toughest 6 in 5 challenge this season. Pitt x 2 Jackets x 2 and Minni

Unless something changes in how we play, don't think we're gonna win this one unless goalie bails us out like last 3 games.

Columbus will capitalize on our mistakes, no doubt.

Laine will be determined to beat Bob. Here's win 4-1

Also Perreault doesn't get "day to day" injuries. Expect him out 2 weeks, so Tanev will wing with Little and Laine, while Hendricks stabilizes the faceoffs.

I foresee that this will be an easy win for the Jets. Play will continue to look pretty horrible though.

4-2 , Buff , Laine x 2 and Helle with the empty netter

Columbus is not an easy win. They're a damned good team and we'll have to play at a good level to beat them.

While PoMo loves him some Tanev, if Perreault is out more than a week he'll call up Connor. This is one situation where his old school "top six bottom six" will have a positive effect because even he knows Tanev would only hinder that line. And "The first line can't do it all every night" and " the bottom six is for pkers and role players" and so on and so forth.

If Connor gets called up, pretty sure Laine and Wheeler switch spots to balance out the lines defensively.

I agree festinator.

We knew that Kyle would get his shot in the top-6. We also all knew that Perreault was going to miss time. We just didn't necessarily expect it to be in the middle of October. But it looks like that's the way it's going to go.

If I had it my way, Kyle steps in, plays well, and doesn't give the job up for about a decade and a bit. Perreault is nice, but is nicer down the lineup as an offensive spark. Connor can be a terror. I hope it starts against C-bus.
