There are absolutely organized human trafficking networks that do exist. It is a real thing. There are just short of 8 billion people on this planet, you can find some instances of pretty much any criminal behavior imaginable. But the number of people caught and involved in those networks is absolutely minuscule compared to fathers, uncles, and close family friends raping kids. And small town communities covering that shit up. But the Q Anon nuts see those evil organized networks around every corner when they are in objective reality quite rare. And quite a lot of the Q Anon nuts get busted for kiddie porn and sexual abuse themselves, which should say something. They're claiming that their political enemies are doing the evil things that they, in fact, are doing themselves.
Not disagreeing at all on the Q bullshit, just pointing out that the actual trafficking and perps are way worse than I thought they were.

I'll replace him. How hard can it be to coach Alabama football? Not that I'd imagine
I mean yeah, maybe it is now... because of Satan I mean Saban. Dude is arguably the GOAT. They could easily slide in to the pre-Saban or post-Mack Brown Texas era with the wrong hire. Also NIL throws a new wrinkle into everything as well.

To be honest if I could swindle millions of dollars and get "go away" money from the University of Alabama, I'd be pretty damn happy.

On a much lighter note , amazing sunset tonight.

Please ignore the construction site.

Ha! I took a picture from my deck tonight as well. Wouldn't have thought to post it had I not seen yours.

But just as importantly, not WHO many think they are. As cptjeff said, the conspiracy theorists see these huge global rings around every corner, when in reality, it's often mothers, fathers, uncles, friends or people that prey on vulnerable kids. This was a quote from that article that addresses that:

"Sometimes Badolato couldn’t help but feel that all the conspiracies and misconceptions weren’t just a distraction from the truth of trafficking but rather some sick attempt to let society off the hook for trying to solve the much more intractable problems at trafficking’s root. “People would rather stick their head in the sand than address the real problem, because then you have to face and talk about the societal issues,” she says. “With a movie like Sound of Freedom, it’s like, ‘Oh, this is in a jungle in South America. This isn’t actually in [my neighborhood].’ You know? It’s easier for people to ignore the problem than deal with the issues on a societal level.”

On a side note, I just can't imagine what a toll that type of job she did for so many years would take on a person.

Agreed, that’s what I meant by perps. I never considered that.
I can’t believe she lasted as long as she did. Don’t think I could have.

My cousin, who as a D3 basketball player, used to bet her teammates and friends in college that she could last a minute in one of those industrial dryers they have in the dorms. Worked great for her a number of times, then one time, they found a dryer already running and figured they could save the change vs. starting up another dryer. Needless to say, she got a few burns from that. It ended her dryer tumbling days when she had to tell my uncle about the burns.
